KRWSA intends to join hands with reputed Academic institutions in JJM implementation
An online meeting was presided by Smt. Mrunmai Joshi IAS, Executive Director, KRWSA on 23rd September’2020, at 2.30 p. m, to seek support for engineering activities in implementation of Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) Programme, from invited Engineering colleges of the state. 17 Engineering colleges from the state (Idukki, Kottayam, Malappuram, Palakkad and Thrissur) participated in the concept discussion on institutional collaboration. Dr.Joy Varghese, Regional NSS Coordinator for North Kerala, APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University, Kerala (KTU) also participated in the deliberations. An overview of KRWSA activities , JJM programme, possible areas of collaboration, timeline, resource allocation etc were discussed in detail and  mutually agreed to go ahead with the proposal of collaboration.
As agreed in the VC held on 23.09.20, KRWSA appointed a nodal officer for each district for liaison with the colleges.  KRWSA conducted another round of meeting with the Engineering colleges on 29.09.20 to discuss the way forward in detail. In the meeting, it is decided to finalize tentative plan of action with timeline for collaborative works within a weeks’ time.
