Nadathara Grama Panchayath was selected under batch 1 of Jalanidhi Phase II projects. After a series of IEC activities viz. Special Grama sabha, Door to door campaign, cluster meetings 2685 beneficiary households were identified as beneficiaries of the project

Implementation of Jalandihiprogramme in both the GPs started in 2014 by including in Batch II.Supporting Organisations were placed for the facilitation of the programme on social development and implementation aspects. 11 BGs includes Tribal as their BG members and 12 BG are exclusively tribal BGs. In these BGs, 637 and 530 tribal households are there in Marayoor and Kanthalloor GPs respectively.

Kanichukulam Sudha Jala Vitharana Samithi is a registered society established under the Jalanidhi programme. KanichukulamSudhaJalaVitharanaSamathi is located at the eastern part of the Madapilly GP in Kottayam district of Kerala, geographically featured with hilly terrain. The place were vehemently confronted acute water shortage in the pastfive years due the peculiarities of the area. Panchayathi Raj and other missionaries were intervened many time for the providing drinking water and unfortunately those efforts hasn’t been successful. At this juncture the GP authorities had initiated steps for implementing Jalanidhi project .
